Render size/resolution for A3 print?

Hi all,

I am seeking to have rendered images printed at an A3 (or larger) size. At what size would I have to render an image so it's suitable for a professional printing company to use? In other graphix software I can set the 'resolution' parameter to achieve this - eg: 200dpi to 300dpi at a given height and width. I can't seem to find the equivilant 'resolution' parameter in DAZ. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

A3 is 11.7 x 16.5 in.  For professional printing, you'll want 300 dpi (dots per inch), but check with your printer to be sure.  So for whatever format, you multiply your inches by 300, and that tells you the resolution you need for your render.

Sevrin, Thank you very much for that info and the speedy reply.

  • You can just type the sum (w * ppi) in the size box.
