Can view pane float or be relocated?

I'm left-handed and it's impossible for me to use the wacom pen to orbit or pan to the right when the pen is at the right edge of the tablet. Can I float the view pane or relocate it to the left side of the screen?

Ummm... What? No idea what you mean by View pane. Explain which area you mean or a Snapshot posted would be needed please.

Currently you can rearrange the panes on either side of the screen (you can, for example, put them all on the left or all on the right), but not the Viewport pane itself. However, according to the Change Log this feature is in DS4.6.4.4, which hasn't been released yet..

When I hover over it it says view, so I called it view. Please see image attached.

Ah Those, there is a Setting to turn those into a Tool bar but I have not done so in a long time. I prefer them there. I hope Mike knows how as I do not in the newest Version of DAZ Studio. Sorry.

If you click the rectangle with horizontal lines yo.u can switch it to "Docked View Controls" which puts it along the top toward the left side.

There's still the old 'View Tab' that can be switched back on and placed where you like.
    Main menu, under Windows/Tabs/View.

To make using a tablet easier with DS, open up Window > Workspace > Customize. At the bottom of the window are options to edit the orbit/pan/rotate/etc hotkeys. Double click the hotkey area to change it. Set them to things like ctrl+middle mb, shift+middle mb, etc. Set a key on your wacom pen to activate middle mb (might want to set up an app profile just for DS). I personally set mine to the side button closest to the tip. Normally that's my right click, but I don't right click in DS at all.

Now you can hold down the modifier keys, and drag on the tablet from wherever your cursor is in the viewport.

    /edit
The options you have access to on your tablet will depend on the tablet. I personally have an Intuos Pro Medium so I'm speaking from a perspective of having access to all of the tablet's customization options and keys.

Thank you, Vaskania for this config techniques. I will implement it tonight when I have time. Appreciate your solutions.
