Couple Questions

I've skimmed through a few pages of questions and I didn't see anything to answer either of these question.(That or I'm just missing it) But I was wondering...

1. If I buy Victoria 6 and get an item for Victoria 4,(or any really) will the item for the older version work for the newer version?(I'd really like to know this before I go off and buy something I'll later regret.)

2. I purchased the Auto-Fit tool and it gave me a serial code. When I follow the how-to about where to enter the code I can't find anyplace to enter the code. I can go to the menu, open 'about add-ons' or 'about DAZ' or whatever it is, but then when the window comes up there is nothing to click on or enter a code. Do I already have it available? Or am I going to the wrong place? What's happening here?

3. Also, will the auto-fit tool work to change things to different models, or just for newer versions of genesis? For example, if I have an item for V6 and have Stephanie 6 as well, will the items for V6 be able to be auto-fitted for Stephanie 6?

Just V6 (Victoria 6), dose not give you access to V4 or V5, or any other number other then 6, that I am aware of. V6 is just for V6 cloths and figures (by it's self).

There is a thread that covers V4 requirements for figures, let me dig that up for you. Cloths and stuff, auto-fit should be able to do that provided you have the requirements for that (I don't know what they are).

That auto-fit thing may work for cloths, hair, and shews. I don't think it is for the figures. I'm just using the free version that came with Daz Studio 4.6.

1. Autofit will transfer clothing from V4 to Genesis (original) out of the box. You would then need to save that, and use Autofit again to fit the item to Victoria 6 (Genesis 2 Female). There are clone shapes that you can buy for Autofit, I'll see if I can find a link. If you had the clones, you could do it in one go.

2. You do NOT need to purchase Autofit separately, it now comes as standard with DAZ Studio 4.6.

3. Autofit was designed to fit clothing intended for Victoria 4, Michael 4 and Kids 4 to Genesis, it does NOT work backwards (i.e. Genesis to V4) There are other shapes (clones) that you can buy which will make Autofit work with other figures, so you could use V3 clothing on Genesis.

Autofit is for Clothing items only, it does not transfer morphs or character shapes.
