How to pose a model on a prop?

I am very new to daz3d but I really like it so far :)

I have a (probably) basic question on how to properly pose my model.

What is the best way for posing my model so it rests on a prop?
For example I want my model put one foot on a chair.

I tried by dragging some parts of the body but it's difficult to get it right. Just wondering if it's trial and error and it will take some experience or is there something in daz3d that can help me achieve this more easily?

There are many different ways, except collision detection, available. I usually use a combination of dragging the part and using the manipulators on the bones, for a foot, I'll use manipulators on thigh and shin for bend and rotate and on the foot of course.
