I've been reading about discounted gift cards & how to use them.
I missed the most recent ones and am wondering how often these sales occur.
How much of a discount could I expect?
Do they just show up among the other daily deals?
How often ........... Hmm every now and then, at unpredictable intervals
How much............ That depends on the mood of whoever is setting up the sale I think
Where.................. Sometimes in the daily deals, sometimes in the newsletter, sometimes on the moving banner.
:coolsmirk:
The moral of the story is "Check regularly" as with all DAZ 3D sales, some are "flash sales" which can last just a few hours, others can be for longer periods varying from a day to a week (occasionally longer)
One other note: where do you usually look for things in the store? There are regular how-did-I-miss-that posts from people who never realised there was a particular uncommon sale type running because they never or rarely look at the New Releases page, and in my experience that's where the sale banners are the most obvious and unmissable. Especially the big rotating banner, and the (usually) two little square ones beside it.
I'm gradually learning to check EVERYTHING at least once a day.
I almost missed "It's raining money" a couple of months ago, because it was a small box nestled among the rest of the daily ads...which I used to ignore if it wasn't focused on something I cared about.
Thanks for the note about Recent Releases, Spotted Kitty!
Yep, I'm with SpottedKitty. The first thing I do around 1:15am (Central Time, USA) is go to the New Release page to see the rotating banner. Gift Card sales show up there, and also it seems to be one of the first pages to change over daily. If you do subscribe to the newsletter, be sure you are getting them- I know mine have stopped several times for no reason whatsoever, and when people were talking about newsletter stuff it clued me in.
About newsletters... I've signed up, but haven't received anything but daily promotional emails. Is this the "newsletter"? Even these have failed to show, now & then, so I don't count on them to alert me to specials.
BUT, if exclusive offers sometimes turn up only in a newsletter, I could be missing out.

One suggestion....A monthly discount on a gift card would also be a great perk to add for the Platinum Club
