Problem with eyelashes in 4.12.1.188

Hey, somehow eyelashes vanish, as soon as I "Merge Fitted figure(s) geometry". I used this often in 4.10, where it worked as suppose. Don't seem to have issues on merging other things, just the eyelashes vanish.

Seems that this function is in general broken; if I merge other geografts, they get somehow merged, but all the bone weights seem to be wrong. Any help would be great, as I am relying on this workflow, and there seems no downgrade option to older versions of DAZ Studio.
