Freebie copy location?

I downloaded a freebie, and it contained morphs. They show up in my content library, but I can't figure out how to move them to my Parameters tab and make them work as morphs. Can somebody help me with this problem?

What form are they in? Are they custom morphs or pose/shape presets?
It came with both. There was a "Morphs" folder and a "Presets" folder. I just don't know how to get them where they need to be, like morphs in Parameters and Presets wherever they need to go. Right now, they're sitting in the "My Library" folder, and I can see them all in Daz Studio. I also know that the morphs were meant for Genesis 1 Female. A problem with the position I have them in right now is that the morphs are useless sitting where they are now, because they can't work where they are now, in the My Library folder. When I downloaded them, the Readme said to copy the morphs in the "data" folder to the "data" folder in the DazStudio4 folder, or to the "data" folder in My Library, but there was no data folder in either directory, and because of this, I don't know where to put the morphs so I can get them to function properly. Thank you for any help you can give me with this problem! If you need to know, I use DAZ Studio Pro 4.6.
Can you let us know what the freebie is, and where it can be found. We may be able to help you better if we know that.
Okay. The freebie is the Wicked 180 Breast Movement by Wicked Works, on ShareCG.com. It is a collection of 180 morphs for Genesis. All I'm looking for, though, is where in general to put a freebie after unzipping it.
where is your content installed to?
Packs on ShareCG have a habit of not building a proper runtime. You will probably need to move the files yourself
@oneidakinsman
I just downloaded this, and inside the ZIP is a folder called 'New Folder'. Open that folder and you will see 'Presets' and 'data' folders. If you are on a PC, just drop these two folder into your DAZ Studio Library folder. I install using the DAZ Install Manager, so all of my Genesis content is in 'My DAZ 3D Library', but yours may be in a folder called 'My Library'.
Find out where your Genesis content is installed to (Genesis Starter Essentials) and just drop the two folders (Presets and data) in there.
All of mine is in "My DAZ 3D Library". In this case, where can I put the folders? I'm not sure where in my DazStudio4 folder the "My DAZ 3D Library" folder is so I can put my folders in the Starter Essentials folder.
Yeah, mine too. Seems to have been another change.
Anyhow, I downloaded and copied the files over. The female ones do show on the Parameters Tab, the male ones did not. Could be one needs said part too [which I do not have on my laptop] however in looking at the morphs [open in text editor], they aren't likely to work until some editing is done. If you look at the files that show and the ones that don't, think you'll see where and how they need to be corrected.
The default location for 'My DAZ 3D Library' is C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library
Just drop the two folders from the ZIP file, Presets and data in there and they will be merged (assuming you are using a PC) There is no Genesis Starter Essentials folder, that is the name of the ZIP file that contains the free Genesis content, it is also installed into My DAZ 3D Library.
@Patience55
I don't know what you mean by a change here? My DAZ 3D Library has been the default install location ever since DIM was released.
I also don't understand what you mean by 'male morphs' because these are all breast morphs for Genesis. Perhaps you are looking at the wrong freebie?
I got the files to work. But I had one last question... I'm sorry if I bug you guys! I downloaded some NGMs for Victoria 4 and they are all for Poser. Where in my Poser directory should I put them? They were in a Libraries folder just like the other ones, just in Poser format. My Poser content is in Public Documents, not in Program Files.
NGMs? The only NGM is know of is the Natural gravity Morph series, which are not free - is this something else?
No, this is the Natural Gravity Morphs. Someone bought all of them, put their data into folders, and zipped them all into a single zip file and put it on the Internet as a freebie in torrent form. I downloaded them, not knowing what to think of it, and posted a question here asking how to install them, but I don't know who did it. Is this wrong or illegal?
Yes, that is wrong and you need to remove the files from your system. There are a lot of content creators who share their content freely - looking through the Freepozitory here of the free items area of Renderosity or Share CGShare is generally a safe source of free items. See the monthly Freebie Challenges in the General Freepozitory fro examples of what you can do with true free items.
So if I buy it from the normal store (the NGMs) then I can keep it on my system legally? And a bunch of other sites have some more legal free stuff? I'll do it then, but I still wanted to know how to install content into Poser. Thanks for the heads up, I'll get it off right away!
Yes buying that set would be the proper thing to do. And adding Third Party content once learned will be easy but the steps will need learned. If I had a bit more free time right now I would cover it in more detail for you. Its a holiday in the US and I have a thing to go do rather soon.
And a word of advice. Scan your system with a good Anti Virus and a good malware detector such as Malware Bytes. Sites that offfer illegal downloads often put all sorts of nasty stuff on your system.
I use McAfee, Sorry about this confusion, but the illegal files are gone. I'll see If I can buy the NGMs the normal way. I was only looking for the ones for V4, anyway. :) Besides that, what are NGMs and what do they do? I know they have something to do with size, and description talks about the being big. And on V4, is scaling breasts possible?
If you read the description on the Product Page here : http://www.daz3d.com/ngm-for-v4 it should answer all of your questions.
NGM = Natural Gravity Morphs. They are morphs (shapes) to simulate the way the breasts move in response to gravity with the torso in different positions, and most of them are designed for beasts larger than the un-small V4 defaults. There are also the NBM (Natural Breast Movement) morphs which are shapes for movement. Essentially these sets are for making the shape of the figure match its pose, though the base V4 morphs (I can't recall if it's the base figure or the Morphs++ set) do include some movements, and you can use DForms for more. Genesis 2 actually has posable bones affecting the breasts.
Do they actually have breast "size" morphs like Morphs++ does?

The previous content I had installed to a folder called 'My Library' in My Documents. This time for sure I changed no settings and possibly because I had also uninstalled everything to do with the previous edition, there was nothing to tell it where i had put both items. So in the actual program I now have a reference to a scary empty My Library and the content-was-placed-here My DAZ 3D Library.
So for me it was a change. If not for you, that's fine.
The 'male morphs' ... well golly gee if somebody has taken the time to find such items in sharecg.com, I figured chances are pretty good that they checked the Gallery and found the other set offered which is for 'male morphs' made by the same person. So rather than wait for the next question which may or not be asked, I presented an answer for what to many would be an unasked question.
btw - trying to understand people like me can be a rather frustrating experience ;-)
My reply was not meant as a criticism of you, I just thought that you may have replied to the wrong thread, I have done that myself (often).
My Library was the default at the beginning of the DS4 releases, but that changed to My DAZ 3D Library when DIM was released. You can still use My Library by changing the default install location in DIM. It can be confusing. The 'content' folder inside the ZIP files doesn't help either in my opinion, but I let DIM deal with it :)
Okay, ty. And yes I too have found all these different locations for everything a tad confusing at times. I probably told the first DIM where to put stuff but this DIM I left alone. And usually do. Now that the main program is installed with that new whatever it was installed, I prefer manually downloading files except if needing batches. The DIM is very good for that type of thing.
