Wet and tanned skins for gen 8

I set 2 identicle figures so I could see how the tan changes. The fig. in the left is supposed to be changed. The figure in the right was not selected and should have stayed the same, But it turned darker than the other.  In the second figure I removed the tan corrections, hue, sat etc. In the third figure I went back to what the figures looked like without any changes, Just like they first opened. What is going on?
