Figure not showing up in different camera views

I had two figures in a scene.  The camera was set to front view but when I rendered the scene, one of the figures was not there.
I stopped the render and make sure that the figure was visible in renders and it was. Then I checked the scene in all of the
other cameras but the figure was not there. Again, I checked and the figure was listed as being visible in viewport. I went to
the top camera and zoomed out and still couldn't find the figure. So how can a figure be visible in front view but not show up
in the render and not show up in the other camera views?  I was a little upset so I deleted the scene but it still puzzles me
and I want to know what to look for next time.  Thanks.

No section planes loaded? As for the item showing only in the front view, are you sure it isn't palced way back (or forward) of the other figure?
