Question Regarding AutoFit
Greetings!!
I'm sure the answer to my question is obvious, but for some reason I can't seem to find the information I'm looking for.
I'm not familiar with the "autofit" feature, or how it works. Is it a feature that works automatically, or do I need to apply it in some way?

AutoFit is a feature in DAZ Studio that allows you to use clothes on different figures as that they were made for. For example, if you use Genesis clothes on Genesis 2, or V4 clothes on Genesis, or M4 clothes on Genesis, or whatever. If you try to do so, the AutoFit dialogue opens automatically and lets you choose from some options to get better results.
But be warned, AutoFit does not always work well on some clothes. There are always some problems with long skirts and especially shoes. Tight pants or shirts and shoes without heels work best.
Thanks XoecZ!! That helps a lot!
A follow-up question, if I may? When it comes to applying skin, anything intended for Genesis should fit out of the box? For example, I'm working with a character that's a combination of Mavka, Sadie, and Basic Child (all for Genesis), once I had the shape I was going for I decided to go with Sadie's skin tones, but when I applied it I wasn't sure if it was lining up exactly like it should? Of course, it's completely possible (probable, even)t hat it's exactly like it should be and my untrained eyes are playing tricks on me. :)
No problem :-)
If the skin texture is from the same generation as the body - which it is in your case, because you are working with Genesis and a Genesis skin tone - there are no problems to expect. Should work without any issues.
Thank you very much!

The only thing to look at is if the materials are using different UV-maps. Genesis UV Maps for several different characters and sometimes a skin loads as V4 but is made as M4, then you need to set which UV it should use in the surface tab when having genesis selected.
