Let me start off by saying I adore the dForce RockZ Hair. It's beautiful and has a ton of options!
That said, I have noticed every time I use it, it puts a tremendous strain on my system (GTX 2070, and i9), causing the computer to stall while it crunches data, and more often than not crashes the render/Daz out to desktop.
Is there some way to optimize using this hair? Is this strain a problem anyone else is having?

Yeah, it's really heavy. I've tried a few times to use it but can't get it to render. Always gets a crash. I can get it to work in the iray preview, but whenever I hit that render button I get a crash.I have a fairly beefy system as you do (1920 threadripper, 32gb ram, 2x 2080), so it's not just you. Looking at the surfaces there's a lot going on witrh this hair, so I imagine it's just a vram hog.
