Saving a pose for just a hand (SOLVED)
I don't know if something has changed since the last update, but I can't seem to save just the hand pose only.
Can someone tell me what boxes I have to have ticked to save just the hand and no other part of the body.
I want to parent a bag to the left hand and then save that pose, so when G2F is posed the hand pose moves with arm.
I'm using the lastest DS 4.6

Working on the same thing here, for crossed fingers, lol.
Hope this helps. Save as -> Pose Preset
Please let us know if that doesn't work out.

I just noticed the thing about the holding the bag part. Akin to holding a sward or something.
There is the prop (bag) that gets parented to the hand, and a separate pose to have the hand in the correct pose for that.

Just like fitting your 'Cuffed Ankle Boots', that I have on a figure right now.
That's what I did the first time, but the pose doesn't work when I try to apply it to the figure!
Now that is odd. I'm on Studio v4.6.3.50 right now, if that helps at all.
I forgot some boxes as well in the one screen-cap. I guess it depends on what slider you used to pose the finger.
Here I'm saving a Crossed-finger pose on just the right hand. And it did just work, checking All boxes for the right hand. Tho I haven't updated Studio in a while.

oops, wrong screen-cap. I inadvertently selected the dress instead of Genesis, lol.
All fixed now.
The only way I can get it to work is to save it as a .dsa file.

Hi,, have you not used any rotation of each fingers?:roll:
I usually check all rotation of fingers and hand . (you may need only one side to save,,)
then check poze controller values too, as same as his pic.
about poze controll value, the zarcondeegrissom is right (it can keep all current value with zero, it is right setting)
but if user change finger rotation, the poze preset can not change them.
(oops,, he seems up-loaded new pic now ,, already ^^; I think his pic is right,, it should record all rotation, and poze controll value too)

I think,, you may better not use any poze controll (ERC) for make poze.
make hand poze by node rotation only without include poze controleld values.
because,, it often cause difficulity, when user adjust each nodes.
these poze controll change fingre rotation, without user intention, then when they try to adjust poze,
then can not clear understand, which poze controll have been used.
but simple node rotation, can easy check, and modify without problem.
about new daz studio 4.6, now we can change poze controll value to simple node rotation value.
then save the poze preset, make good poze preset, which include only node rotation. without any link ERC.
(About genesis2female, actually you may only need,, root node assigend hand poze controll,
because hand and finger assigned poze controlls are Alias,, they just keep same value of root node,,)
yep, that was an epic mistake on my part, uploaded the wrong screen-cap, of the Dress pose controls, instead of the Figure ones.
On that note, I noticed some poses for Genesis (1) don't like to work on G2F, and vise avers. So one for each may be a good idea.

a little bit different about genesis and genesis2female,
gen2female use Alias for most of poze controlls.
but gen1 use real poze controll, which assigned to each nodes.
but about both case, it seems better to check all poze controls value categoried as hand (and fingers)
with all nodes (hand and children) rotations. it cause no problem.
(not include scale ^^;,, some user like to change scale to make shape,, if the poze preset keep scale,
it turn to them default ^^; I do not like poze preset, which inlude scale,,)
