An error has occurred while opening a file

And it adds see log for details.
1. I don't know where the log is that I am suppose to look at.
2. This occured when adding the Basic Mat for G8 female. The mat file is one that came with Daz Studio. I have used
it before with no problem at all. This was on a Face Transfer figure if that matters but again I have used it with a face
transfer figure before.
3. I have had the same error message when trying to add color to a hair that I bought here at Daz
Thanks

    1. I'm on Mac, but it should be under Help>Troubleshooting>View Log

You can post your log file to see if someone can help you.

Curious. Is it also not under troubleshooting in the program?

  • I found the log and it has a lot of entries. If I can delete all of them, I will.
Anyway I found the error  it has warning on it and goes like this.
    Failed to create alias
Failed to add user alias property to node.
It was the only warning I got for the correct date but it is repeated many times.  Can I delete everything in the log and then
try agai?. I can then post the log but that is the error message

That message usually means you tried to load a preset without having a target item selected in the scene (ideally the correct one, but if it's the wrong one the preset will probably just have no effect without producing an error).
