Another face generate question

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

The face texture is darker than the rest of the skin texture. Looks like the face got a dark sunburn. Is there a way to
correct this?   Thanks.

    I should add that it looks good in the viewport window but when it is rendered, it is quite noticeable.
