M4 Beard transmap edges visible

I'm having a strange issue with the M4 Beard. I used the existing presets to make it a Vandyke style (suitable for a sinister type), but when rendered, there's a distinct line across the cheek where the edge of the "beard" surface lies; hopefully the attachment will illustrate. I have tinkered with the surface settings, to no avail, and there are NO lights set to cast shadows in the scene at this point. I can only assume I'm overlooking something in Surfaces, but danged if I can figure it out. (Using DAZ Studio 3.1.3.32 Advanced, 32-bit.)

it must be the transmap
if no lights it cannot be catching the seethrough surface.
maybe there is some bleeding occuring
the morph of his face might be distorting the mesh a bit
try making a copy of the transmap in GIMP,Photoshop whatever and making certain all masked areas AND areas outside the uv edges are black and use that instead, oftem transmaps have white outside uv area for easier reference and that could be bleeding.
I'll give the transmap a closer look and make sure it's transparent EVERYWHERE it's supposed to be. Thanks :)
EDIT: The transmap was indeed not totally black, as you predicted. After taking Photoshop to it, problem is now solved! Thanks a TON, that was going to make me a crazy person ^_^
