Clothing won't load on Victoria 4.2 base
I got the Victoria 4.2 base as part of the Female Anatomy Bundle.
1) Every time I load the figure it goes through a multistage process with "power loader". I haven't seen this with other figures. What's this about?
2) I bought the Miss Dee Anna J clothing package to use with V 4.2. The clothing shows up in my content library, but none of it will load onto the figure.
Does this mean that I can only use the "base" figure with the anatomy features...that it isn't a regular "actor"...or is there some malfunction?
Also, when I managed to sort of fit something else to her body, I realized I can't delete the modest bra & panties she starts out with. No, I don't want her naked- I just don't want part of the bra showing above other clothing.
She must be the oldest figure I have. None of the clothing I've acquired in other packages really wants to work with her.
Thanks

You're probably trying to load the DS optimized material presets. You'll need to use the Content Library tab to find the actual clothing. They'll be somewhere in Poser Format > library > figures.
As for Power Loader, that's a DS thing for Gen4 figures. It's just an easy way to load all of the morph packs you want without hunting the injections down 1 by 1 in the library.
Thanks, you're right.
But that is SO awkward.. I never would have figured it out. I had done a search of the files and the DS stuff is what showed up.
Experienced users say they prefer the content library over smart content, but that's a lot to get used to!
Also, even though this clothing is supposedly for V4, each item still requires a fit-to.
Yea you still need to conform the clothing to V4, this is so it will follow her as you move her around. Or do you mean you're getting the autofit dialog having to choose which figure the item is originally for?
Most of the items have obvious problems as soon as I choose them for her, while she's still in the T pose. When I use "fit to" Victoria 4.2, it MOSTLY resolves the issues. I did not expect to need this function, since the clothing package says it's for her.
Is it because she's an older figure? I understand that there's a huge collection of items available for V4 that are very affordable for this reason. I thought it would be a good idea to snap up a bunch of it..., but am I likely to have fit problems with most of it?
I read instructions for creating metadata for products like this, so they would show up in Smart Content. If I do this, could it cause conflicts later on, if one of the DAZ gurus does this sort of update?
Thanks again!
Whether using older content or new content it is necessary to fit the clothing to the figure. Most clothing is what is called "conforming" clothing and it needs to be conformed to the figure. Think of it as akin to you actually having to put your clothes on once you selct your outfit.
If you are using V4 clothing and the V4 figure this is still true, and sometimes,
if you have morphed your V4 figure you may still find that some clothing doesn't fit perfectly if the clothing doesn't have the requisite morphs built in which will equate to the morph dials you have used to morph your figure.
The Miss Dee Anna set has quite a few built in morphs, plus adjustment morphs. You may need to find the morph dials for the clothing and work with them to get a proper fit for the clothing.
I had purchased the V4.2 mega-pro-pack (Victoria 4 3D Model Pro Suite) this weak, and have yet to try any of the included stuff. I stumbled across Brijitte in the content library (Purchased separately), and I don't even know if that was on V4.2 or Genesis (1).
There was a couple of "Auto-fit" tutorials published this weak I must do, NOW, apparently, lol.
I'm Taking notes as well.
Brijitte is for both V4 and Genesis.
To use it on Genesis, you also need the Evolution Morphs for Genesis, and to get the exact features right, you also need the V4 shape for Genesis.
The version for V4 requires you to have Morphs++
The Compatible 3D Figures :
The page is not loading properly at the moment, but it is a good idea to check the Required Products too.
It is really best to ask here on the New User Forums if you are not sure of the compatibility of a figure.
Thanks for the heads up, I kind of went all out with that. Installed with DIM wends-day night, and the Content Library is still catching up with that mega-install. Every time I look, more stuff appears.
The Journeyman in this pic, best describes My initial introduction to the Content Library. Thanks so much Mike128, Jaderail, and Kerya, for helping me threw my initial 'Shell shock'.
