New content not showing everything else ok
Hello Daz people
I have a small problem with DAZ 4.6 content not showing up.
Last night I purchased actual hair for v4 and tequila hair from DAZ 3D shop.
I opened DAZ content manager and was asked to install an update for the manager after that I downloaded and installed the products as normal, both products not showing up in the content tab.
I reinstalled them, still not showing all other content working fine
I reinstalled everything, still not showing all other content working fine
checked paths to content they have not changed but as it sees all other content that should not be a problem.
I checked runtime all the files are there for the products not showing, did this against manually downloaded files for the products
I've just checked Poser 2014 and some of the product is showing in there ???
I'm at a loss now.
Any advice would be nice :)

Are you running DS 4.6.3.50? Did you install PostgreSQL? If you check the log file just after launching Ds (Help>Troubleshooting>View log) does it say
Connected to CMS: PostgreSQL 9.3.4, compiled by Visual C++ build 1600, 64-bit
just before it lists the plug-ins it loaded?
Thank you for the reply Richard
I'm running DS 4.6.3.50
PostgreSQL CMS (win64) and PostgreSQL CMS From Valentine CMS conversion show in Install manager as installed
Log file says
Connected to CMS: PostgreSQL 9.3.4, compiled by Visual C++ build 1600, 64-bit

OK, I fear that that means your Valentina database, although managing to work, was actually corrupt and as a result it isn't going to convert. Try this:
close DAZ Studio
Uninstall PostgreSQL - don't bother uninstalling the conversion tool.
Start DS. Do you now have your Smart Content and Categories? If not your database really was badly corrupt and you should probably close DS and skip to the reinstall PostgreSQL step.
Open the Content Library option menu (right-click on the tab, or click the button with lines in the top corner) and select Content DB Maintenance. Check Export User Data and click Accept. Close DS.
Reinstall PostgreSQL
Start DS. Open the Content Library option menu (right-click on the tab, or click the button with lines in the top corner) and select Content DB Maintenance. Check Re-Import Metadata and click Accept. In the dialogue that opens make sure that the user data option is selected, as well as all the products. Click Accept.
With luck, if you were able to export your user data, you will now have your categories and content in the less-prone-to-corruption PostgreSQL database (though I'd advise exporting user data any time you do a lot of modification to categories as insurance.
Ok followed your instructions still no joy
I have just purchased another product from DAZ 3D store just to see if it would work
no problems it installed and works correctly.
It seems only to be the products I purchased last night ?
Is it worth opening a ticket with Daz so I can get the products removed from my account then repurchase them as this seems very odd
Sorry, I was mentally in the wrong thread. If you look at the items in the Installed tab of DIM is there a tick next to them? If not, they don't have metadata and won't show up in Smart Content.
lol ok yea that would be it then
Out of 201 packages 95 have no tick ... most of these are poser files that explains a lot but I was going to get back to poser once I've worked out what I can do with DAZ and carrara
Right I did a full install on my pc two weeks ago windows etc everything has been put in default location by DAZ installer and I followed all instructions from DAZ web site for paths.
What am I doing wrong for so much content not to install ?
got v6 the other day it installed fine just got dream home and no tick no show ?
cheers for reply been working so took me a while to get back
Reading another thread has sorted me out none smart content is in poser files ?
would never have looked there cheers for the help
Just a heads up Not all None Smart will bi in Poser Formats, some may be in DAZ Studio formats as well but probaly most times just the DAZ Studio texture files. Sometimes the full set but only found in the Content Library Tab either time.
