Hair for FW Yasmin, and Studio G2F hair from Carrara product?

I've been tiering the store apart looking for the hair style used for the FW Yasmin promo photo (and others) to no avail. The "Sporty Braid" is most definitely not it as it is for G2F not Geniuses(1) or V4. Can some kind soul point me in the direction please?

Also In my search, I did find two sets I absolutely appreciate, because of there simplicity and lack of 'bling'. The opportunity is, that neither of them are for G2F, and one isn't even for Daz Studio? This second set is not for Yasmin, rather my G2F figures.

Yes!

Carrara only... Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
Is it at all possible to purchase that Addison-hair, then somehow import it into Daz Studio for G2F without Carrara?

http://www.daz3d.com/filosofy-hair
genoration-4 only, why? The forehead never lines up when converted from G1 to G2F, I don't want to know what happens from V4 to G2F. How can I move the hairline back down to the forehead from the middle of the top of the head after loading the hair on the G2F figure? As was my experience with that SallyMae and Christine hair.

(edit)
I should not that I do like all the exotic styles, it's just that the plane every-day no-dress-up styles seam far and rare between, when I look for G1 and G2 styles.

The hair in Yasmin's promo looks like Mystic Moon Hair http://www.daz3d.com/mystic-moon-hair

Hair doesn't have to be for a certain figure for you to re-scale it and parent it.

If that is indeed the set used for Yasmin (For Genesis 1), then I would like to know how that worked.

I got A3_Shigi_Hair with something today. after loading V4.2 it disappeared from the smart tab, and I didn't think much of it. Then fumbeling threw the Content Library, I stumbled across it and other A3 hair sets, that gave me warnings when I tried to load them (The two I tried).

I just assumed the issue was that I don't have Any Generation 3 figures, and no Aiko of any gen. I didn't give it much more thought and moved on to other stuff I had purchased. V4.2 "3D Model Pro Suite" came with allot of stuff, that I haven't gotten to verifying the install of yet.

Lets just say, I have doubts that that Generation 2 & 3 "Mystic Moon Hair" will even load onto Genesis's scalp shape without gaps, if it loads at all. I'm going to need some assurance before spending the asking price, that it will indeed fit Yasmin G1.

I'm falling asleep at the keyboard again, chat with y'all on the flip-side, lol.

What warnings? If it told you you needed to have an item selected that means you were loading a pose or material set, not the hair itself.

Same way I can get A3 XinXin prop hair on G2F Fiend. Scaling, translation, and parenting to the head.

Working on first cup of coffee now. I should probably point out that I am not having any disappointment with Yasmin on Genesis (1) at all. In fact she is looking really nice in the 50's outfit (Wilmap).

You are correct, they were color presets, tho I have yet to locate the actual hair polygon-whatever to put the color on. I hope all the empty folders is just the content library taking bloody ages to get with the program, lol.

No I may be able to select nothing in the scene, to get everything showing in the smart tab, and find out that way.

And now something shows up there, lol. And now I completely forgot what I was going to type, must not have been that important.

"O", Scaling, translation, and parenting to the head. The belt on Yasmin needs just a touch of scaling to get it out of the scirt, on Yasmin, and the slider is missing.

Also when I tried to transit the belt (Y) up a bit, it didn't move at all. It's good enough for the render. However for other stuff, how do I get them sliders back, if there completely missing?

O.K. that preset canned pose was a mistake to apply, Is there no simple way to put Geniuses back into the default "T Pose"?

From the Parameters, Posing, or Shaping tab, click the options menu (rectangle with horizontal lines in the upper corner) > Zero > Zero Pose

To put her back to the T-Pose, go to the parameters tab and click the 3 lined icon that shows up in the corner. You'll see an option for Zero >Zero Figure Pose. This will put the figure back in it's default pose without changing your morphs.

Regarding morphs about Wilmap's dress, you'll need to contact her. She has a thread in the freepozitory for her freebies.

Thank you, that is so much simpler then what I did. Exit scene, load G1, save pose, re-load Yasmin scene, apply saved pose, then undid my arm adjustment, lol.

It's not just Wilmaps stuff that I occasionally want to set the scaling to 102% (or something minor) to make it fit, and the slider is not there by default.

As for the "Amersede" hair on Genesis (1), I don't know where to begin, it looks like different parts of the meshes are all in the wrong place, even tho the 'Cap' landed in the correct spot.
    (edit)
O.K. The Cap needed to go up "0.73" on the transit, yet the other meshes?
    Test render is pending...

Go to the same 3 lined menu > show hidden parameters. That should give you the basic scaling/rotation/translation dials.

IIRC Amarseda hair is transmapped. You can't rely on the viewport with transmapped hair. See if it looks ok when you render it.

While that is rendering, How do you make the hair adjustment, if you need to render it to see what your doing?

Do you just use that camera-mouse-thing, and render small bits of the view field? or is there a quicker way?

Spot render. Use that camera with an arrow that's highlighted in the toolbar in your screenshot and just drag over an area right in the viewport.

Alternatively, you could remove all of the opacity maps from the hair's material zones, and reapply the material you want when you're done.

material zones is beyond my skills as of this moment. I intend to get there eventually.

I discovered that camera thing yesterday when I was checking out the double-click issue Wilmap was experiencing, That cam-thing it is cool.

Looks like the hairline is a tad bit high on the forehead, tho not as blatantly horrible as with other styles I tried in the past. the rest of the texture-overlay-mess is as you said, a render-mat-thing.

So, "Mystic Moon Hair" it is then...for that Yasmin promo pic?
