Post SSIM permanently on and ruins IRAY

Help!

I tried out the new Post SSIM in Progressive Render settings for DAZ Studio 4.12.1.118 Pro Edition (64-bit) and once I turned it on it made everything blurry. I turned it back off and the same result occurred, nothing changed. I am now very frustrated because now I literally can't render with Iray. I've attached images below of what I am currently experiencing. I can not turn off the Post SSIM. I've tried turning it off in Draw Settings, turning down the target % to 0 (which bumps back up to 50%), turning off Post SSIM Enable then Available off.

If I could just manually turn off Post SSIM that'd be (hopefully) a quick temporary fix.

Mod Edit   Attachments removed due to nudity.

Please use this as feedback and also to help me crying.

On the Render Settings Pane, there is a button to reset everything to default.

Didn't work. I actually had hoped I can continue using Daz studio. Also, 3Delight is also screwed up. Everything is black and white.

:-( Okay ... glad I didn't buy that. Since it is designed to enable layout changes and is apparently not playing nice with your program, IF that was happening over here, I would uninstall that product and return it to the store {30 day money back policy - I usually go for store credits 'cause like, we're always shopping eh.} ... reboot the computer. If the program is now okay, great, if not, there is another way to reset the program. Edit > Preferences > Interface > Restore Factory Defaults > Apply/Accept. Close program. Open program. Should now then be as it was when first installed. May need to fix up the layout the way you want it ... maybe you have some layout patterns saved to simply switch to.

I'm resetting right now, let's hope it fixes it.

It worked. It got rid of the blurriness. Now, for some reason, my renders are sooooooo slow. I used to be able to get ~50 iterations. That number dropped to 25. But i'll endure. Thanks so much Catherine3678ab

You're quite welcome, glad it worked :-)

Render settings will need tweaking undoubtedly. Some scenes we load affect those too. When you get a certain combination that works well for your system, you can save Render Setting Presets as well.

Sorry, I'm back, turns out it's blurry again. I don't know what is happening. It looks decent during closeups but looks blurry when the camera is distanced far away from the target.

    sad

And FYI, I do know the camera settings.

Did you try with a 'fresh' camera? Sounds like the perspective [DOF] settings may be off abit. One can see where it is going to focus using the Perspective view option in the viewport. There's also some option in render settings I think it was, for 'motion blur.'

It's all of the cameras including the perspective views.

Monitor resolutions changed? That caused blurring for some.

    Drivers up-to-date?

Reinstalling the main Daz Studio program?

Maybe somebody with more knowledge will come by and say something?

    CS ticket for help?

Did you uninstall the Post SSIM?
