How to organize created content?

I'm a modeler (Maya and ZBrush, primarily), and would like to create content for use in DAZ 3D. I'm working through Dreamlight's videos on prepping materials for sale, but he is demonstrating DAZ 3 on a PC, and I am using DAZ 4.6 on a Mac, and the file structures are different enough that I don't know where I'm supposed to be putting things so they will import correctly. Can anyone point me at an updated reference for content creators?

I always advise creating a new content directory for your project. Add it to the Content Library by opening that pane, then right-clicking (or control-clicking on a Mac) on the DAZ Studio Formats heading and choosing Add Base Directory. Now place your textures in the \Runtime\Textures\ folder, in a folder names for you and your project. Import your OBJ, rig it if it's a figure, apply the textures and material settings, and then go to File>Save as>Support Assets/Figure Prop Asset. Set the author and product names as needed and make sure that the Base path is your content directory. If you need additional material settings ave them to that content directory too, in a sub-folder of the character preset you saved with the asset. Add a readme, zip the whole content directory up and you should have all and only the files for your item.
