NVIDIA Iray not using GPU

I know there have been plenty of these threads, but none of the ones that I have found seem to cover my specific issues. Whenever I try to switch the render settings to use the GPU, it doesn't work. If I am just doing the NVIDIA Iray preview render, the figure will turn stark white, the bottom left will day "Preparing scene..." and the status bar on the bottom right will continue to over and over again. If I am trying to do a full render, the render will start, immediately stop, and act like it finished by letting me save the file. Neither of these actions crash the program.

Here are my specs:

A 6GB isn't massive, but ti should cope with at least simpel scenes. What driver version are you using - right-click the desktop>nVidia Control Panel and look for the number in the coloured box just above the GeForce GTX 1060 line.

I had the same issue. I updated the NVIDIA driver to the latest version and it worked.

Version: 432.00. 451.48 is available, so I am going to upgrade to that.

    Thanks! I'll try that.
