Genesis 2

edited December 1969 in New Users

OK, stupid question: where do I find the Genesis 2 figure after downloading and installing the latest version of DAZ Studio Pro?
I switched from DAZ to Poser a few years ago because of DAZ hogging all my computer's resources, when Poser didn't. I also liked the Poser render capabilities over the ones provided by DAZ. However, of late, I've been comparing them again -- and found that they're pretty much neck and neck when it comes to resource usage and rendering abilities, with both programs having pros and cons. So, I decided to give DAZ another go. (I've always secretly liked DAZ more, anyway! :cheese: )
I'm able to locate and load the figure and all related content for Genesis 1, and all the Starter Essentials for both G1 and G2, plus any and all other content I've gotten over the years -- but not the G2 figure itself. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I'm not seeing, like having to purchase the G2 figure separately (I figured G2 came with the upgrade, like G1 did)?
I figured I'd toss this into the "New User" forum, since I've not dealt with DAZ for so long that I just gotta be doing something wrong!

You need to install Genesis 2 Starter Essentials Male and Female. They are free and came with DAZ Studio

If you've installed all three Starter Essentials sets (don't forget the Default Lights and Shaders, and the Subsurface Shader Base, they're also part of your free included content), then you have Genesis1 and both Genesis2 figures. Where are you looking? If you haven't tried D|S for a while you might not be looking in the right place. Also, there is a difference between the Content Library tab and the Smart Content tab.

Thanks, Frank and Spotted Kitty, for your responses!
I let the Install Manager do its thing, when it came to downloading and installing everything, checked and re-checked all available installed content in both the Content Library and the Smart Content, and it's all there.
I've included (I hope) two screen captures of what I get when I attempt to load a G2 character. #1 is the initial "loading" dialog pane, whereas #2 shows the figure in all its square-box glory, due to several missing files. Vic 4 and everything else loads fine, though!
I dunno... I'm pritnear fixin' ta toss in the towel. This is what I get, for trying Poser -- karma being a biyatch...

You don't seem to have Victoria 6 installed?

For the HD to work, you need to have Victoria 6 as well, HD is an add on for V6

    !Required Products:
    Victoria 6

Can you load the base Genesis 2 Female figure without any problems?

Appreciate the help, Jimmy and Amaranth!
Looked through the Content libraries (both General and Smart), but came up with bumkus for Victoria 6 let alone Genesis 2 Female. All I can find is the Genesis 2 Male figure --- with the same end result as is in the original screen capture, when I tried to load him, because of missing .dsf files.
Ergo, logic suggests that I haven't installed -- "something."

(Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh...) Back to the drawing board.

If you installed your content (Genesis etc.) using the DIM (DAZ Install Manager), then it will be put by default into

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library

You need to add that path in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager as BOTH DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats so that your content will show up in the Content Library.

If you are not sure, please post a screenshot of Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager showing the expanded listing of each type.
