How do I draw a square to select multiple objects?

RexRedRexRed Posts: 1,323

I broke a grass instance into separate instances with instaedit.

Now I can select each instance individually.

The problem is there are over a thousand of them.

I can't seem to find a tool where i can draw a square around section some of them that will not be in my scene and hit the delete key to delete them.

I thought I might be able to use geometry editor I put them all into a group but it doesn't seem to be working.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Also, how do I make an instance of grass visible? Some of them are hidden in the wireframe viewport.

Thanks in advance.

(I have meshgrabber too)

Cllick on the first in the Scene pane, shift-click on the last - there isn't a marquee select for nodes in the Viewport.

Thanks for the response Richard. The problem with that method is that many of the items in the list are within my scene. This will take hours... :(

I also have ten other instances to do...
