Multiple Characters

Hello. I'm new to the forums. Other than the "Get to Know You" posts, this is my first real entry. Please refer me to any posts in other areas if there are any. All help is appreciated.

I'm looking for a place to play with more than one character at a time. I'm not trying to find an avatar experience as much as a 3D base for setting up alternative scenic vantage points. In short, the Barbie's and stuffed animals aren't enough for what I want to draw and paint. I suck at recreating a character and want a close-up reference that I can trace around. Also I want to get some alternate visual points, not to mention poses that real humans could hold for any length of time (mid air for example). Anyone who has modeled for a class for fifteen minutes can appreciate this. One of my classes had an instructor do this to his students so they would understand "before" getting their models into hospital causing positions.

Thanks for any replies at this point. Be wonderful.

This thread could be a good place to start http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/28192/

Every month we have a New Users Contest, which are meant as a learning concept, so each month we tackle a different part of the creating process in 3D art. Jaderail has listed here the Work In Progress threads for previous contests.

The Current contest WIP thread is here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/40868/ and this month we are looking at portraiture.

This sounds very much to me like you work in my type of area, multiple characters that will interact and tell stories. Such as comic book work or graphic novels... Here are a couple of examples I have done with just DAZ Studio and the DAZ 3D content...
Keep in mind I never said I was good just I did them...Click Images for full size.
