How to do an 'ULTRA FRESH install of DAZstudio' without old stuff showing up again?
After various misadventures and irritations, I decided to do a fresh install of DazStudio 4.6. I unintalled DAZ studio and any content that had an uninstaller as wel. I was deleting ANY directory I could find with the word DAZ in it, including "myDaz Library" which seems to live in both 'Public' user accounts and 'MY' user account. I even found some content management system directory that had some database, and deleted that. But.....
My problem is that when the new install finishes, the program's content tab is still a mess showing various models and 3rd party conent in various sub-tabs. The poser content tab for example has at least 4 sub-tabs under it. I had deleted ALL of the content before the re-install, including some content management directory, but I still get this mess. One sub-tab under Poser content, has 30+ tabs, which are all empty (because of the content I manually deleted before the re-install)
My question is, what directories and files do I have to delete to have a nice clean starting point for a new install of DazStudio. When I run the program, I want to see no trace of previously installed items in my content tab.
Also, should "my Daz Library" ideally be put under c:\users\public or c:\users\mylastname ?

On the Content Library tab, click on the options menu (the rectangle with horizontal lines in the upper corner:
Choose "Content Directory Manager" and remove the old paths from all three formats
Then choose Content DB Maintenance, tick "Reset Database" and hit OK.
Public is the default location used by DAZ Install Manager, as it can then be accessed by multiple user accounts, but if you always use the same account you could put it under that account.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
