G8 animation DAE export to Scenekit

Hi, we have encountered a problem when export a G8 animation exporting to Scenekit in DAE format.  While the animation look perfectly in Daz3D, the exported animation look very wired in both shoulders and arms in Scenekit.  The same animation looks fine when export in Alembic (abc) format.  I'm wondering if anybody have the same problem.  I believe it's a bug from Daz when they exporting the DAE format in G8.

Is you pose using any pose controls - as oposed to direct adjustment of individual bones? Try using Edit>Figure>Bake To Transforms... first.

  • Hi Richard, Thanks for your suggestion.  I tried to use Back to Tranforms, but problem remains.  I have attached a picture to show the distorted arms.  From some angles they look fine but if look closely, you'd find the bones are curved.  And, it only happens to G8, not G3 nor G2.

Is the figure morphed? If so it may be joint centre adjustmenmts not transferring across.

  • No.  It's not morphed.  We have tried many different G8F figures and many many different animation files.
