Hello. I already checked to make sure Genesis 3 Starter Essenstials was installed, and I'm loading a Genesis 8 character, but I'm getting the following error message:
The following files could not be found: data/daz 3d/genesis 3/female/genesis3female.dsf
Any suggestions on what might be causing it?

The viewport doesn't load the image correctly when I double-click it. Please, help!
If you are loading a base figure, you have a morph installed that was updated for G8 (manually), and a reference to G3 was not changed
There was a product that did that, I thought it had been updated - check DIM/Smart Content for updates, depending on your instalaltion method.
Try zooming out a bit - you look to be zoomed right in - and if that doesn't hellp please give your system specifications. Also, does Texture Shaded preview work (clcik the Iray icon to the left of the button labelled Perspective View to switch)?
If you recently installed Daz Central it may have changed some of your settings. Look in Daz Studio Edit_Preferences_Content_Content Directory Manager. Click the + sign on each of the content sets and make sure they are pointing to the directory where your daz resources are. You may need to look in DIM also to make sure everything is going where you expect it to be going.
This happens even when I load a G8 figure without morphs.
This is a fresh install after I had to re-image my computer. When I re-installed Daz, I pointed my library to a large secondary drive instead of the primary drive. Everything looks how I expect it to. I attached DIM settings, maybe you can see something I missed.
Thanks.
I'm sorry I can't read this but if everything here is the same as in Daz Edit_Preferences_Content_Content Directory Manager. Each of the Content Sets in the Content Directory Manager should point to whatever you have in your DIM settings. Click the + sign to see what is in each of the 4 sets.
Even when loading the base character or the developer version, DS still goes through all of your G8F related morph-files = Characters, morphs, some expressions, etc... Everything you have installed for G8F, even when they are not activated at that moment.
You cannot load G8 figure (or any Genesis 1-8 figure) without DS reading all the figure related morph files.
The morph-files for G8F are located in ...\Data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs\... - Depending on how much content you have installed for G8F, there can be hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands files and in one of those files the path to genesis 3 female has been left when "updating" the file manually for G8.
If the logfile doesn't give any more information, it is very difficult to track down the ill-behaving morph.
Below is the log file when I load a straight G8F character, I don't see anything references a Genesis 3 character.
Just for fun, I loaded a straight G8M character and I don't have any issues. Maybe I should try un-installing and re-installing? Kinda wierd since this is a fresh install.
You are getting warnings for;
Growing Up, P3Design/Riza and Aiko 8
When DS is not running, I would go to the relevant morph folders (.../Data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 8/Female/Morphs/...) and zip the contents (and remove after zipping) one folder at a time and check if the error for Genesis 3 goes away.
After zipping the contents of one of those morph-folders (and removing the xxx.dsf files), start DS, clear the log file, load the G8 base figure and check the logfile for the G3 error.
If the error didn't go away, close DS and repeat the procedure with the next morph-folder.
As I said before, the reference for Genesis 3 is hidden inside one (or many) morph file, which is actually meant for G8 but was not correctly updated from G3 to G8

Thank you, this was it.
Genesis Starter Essentials 3 was not installed. I thought it was installed automatically, but for whatever reason DIM was not installing it. Even when I went to the Daz store and told it to install via DIM, it didn't work. But after mannually installing Genesis Starter Essentials 3, I can now load Genesis 8 characters without error. So thank you for pointing that me to that!
Installing G3F didn't fix the issue, all you have done is hidden it, you still have a product that doesn't work properly.
I was told last month that this issue with "Growing Up" for G8F was fixed some time ago, so the question for you is this a new download and install, or have you had the files for several months.
