Fit control for Genesis 3 and 8 males product question

I just bought the fit control addon for Genesis 8 and 3 males
It says that required products are two products fit control for Genesis 3 and 8 males.
If I do not plan to use the fit control for Genesis 3 males right now do I need to buy that product?
Can I still use the addon for Genesis 8 males if I I only buy the Genesis 8 fit control?

Yes, you can buy only the G8 one if you only plan to use them with G8.
