Laura 3 to Genesis

I wanted to take a Laura 3 figure I have to use in Genesis. I have the following:

Daz3d Version 4.6.2 64 bit version

GenX2 AddOn Gen3 Kids http://www.daz3d.com/genx2-addon-gen3-kids
GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 2 http://www.daz3d.com/genx2-addon-for-genesis-2

I also have Victoria 3 installed.

I load up G2 female and then I get lost in the process.

Am I missing something? Is there a tutorial that lays out what I need to do.

You said you own the GenX2 add-ons, but do you also own GenX2 itself? http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x2
The V3 and M3 Shapes for Genesis are also required.

If you own GenX2, there is a manual included in pdf format. There's a big thread on using GenX2 here as well.

Am I correct in saying that these add-ons doesn't allow you to use the old textures from the Laura Figure?

Yes, you are correct about that. There is a way to convert textures, but you'd need to buy a different set of products to achieve that:

You'll need all three of those to convert Laura to Genesis (using the V4 UVs). To use the resulting texture on Genesis 2 Female, you'd also need Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female.
