Runtime organization with DIM & Smart Content

OK, so after working with two runtimes for ages I finally consolidated things. Now I run one runtime which resides on an external SSD. Space is limited (1TB) so I do have to make sure that I only install stuff I really use often. Now I rarely use Smart Content but rely an the libary structure. And that I change to

- combine stuff from DAZ with stuff from other sites
- have a better organisatzion with clothing, characters etc.

Now since I move the stuffe in the People-folder around it seems that the connections to smart content break. Because using smart content for searching does often show broken thumbnails. How can I make studio aware that the people folders locations change. Of couse the data- and runtime-folders do not change. So where are the paths stored? Can I kind of "re-index" or would I need to manually update things?

If there's a standard pattern, sometimes fixing one will fix the rest, but it sounds like you'll need to fix them manually.  If you don't care about the 'Smart' part and just want everything in the database, you can "Scan Known Directories for Files".  Then you'll have your revised folder structure under "Scan Results".  I would then just move that whole structure into my own category.

Also, if you move things around inside DS rather than using the OS file manager, DS should keep the metadata attached to the new location.
