Real Plants Collection #1: Fallen Trees, Ivy and Vines [RELEASED]

Here comes the first volume of the Real Plants Collection named "Fallen Trees Ivy and Vines", which includes a set of 12 different trees, some covered with ivy and vines, other laying on a rock or sawed, a stump and an axe.
You will find these trees very suitable for close ups and all scenes where you need really detailed trees and plants.

To note that even if designed as Poser/DAZ Studio props, the trees work great on other applications and renderers as well, such as Vue, Maya, Cinema4D, Modo, Lightwave, Terragen, Octane.

More volumes coming soon from me and my friend lmx3d. Cheers

Hi guys, this is done with the package, posed in Daz Studio and exported and rendered in Cinema 4D. All the plants except ferns are from the package. Ferns will come in a future release. We are making more and more plants for different environments.

Two images made from our friend Jim Kuether "MNartist" with the package and rendered in Vue 10.5. Some other plants (treeferns and so on) are a preview of upcoming releases...... ;-)

Sorry but I'm really confused by these do they work in DS or Poser the product page says they are compatible but Alessanadro seems to saying that they are not, and do they render in DS - none of the promos state which software they are rendered in.

And can the leaves be hidden and just the vines left.
    Thank you

My bad, I changed the sentence so that I hope is more understandable now. I meant to say that even if being Poser/DAZ props, the trees are based on .OBJ/.JPG files and thus can be used on other applications as well.

The leaves can be hidden setting their material opacity to 0%.

    Cheers

Are the ivy or vines and the tree a single mesh or are they separate? Just wondering if I could wrap the climbing plants around another model.

No the are all one Mesh, no nodes...unfortunately...shame that. Still good though. I am already planning a Vue render with these.

How about material zones? Are there separate material zones, so textures can be changed.

Yeah all separate mat zones, example the gnarled tree with Ivy has 3 Ivy leaf mat zones, 1 trunk, 1 vine and 1 cap mat zone (end of braches)

We'll consider to have polygon group zones too on next volumes, so that it's easier to hide groups.

Selecting polygons via surface groups you could hide, then delete selected polygons ie: the tree trunk then save the leaves and vines as a new item.......just make sure to save with a new name.

Here comes an awesome Vue render done by landscape artist Massi-San featuring our first RPC collection, that shows how the models can be used with excellent results also in other applications and renderers.
Please take a look also at Massi's DeviantArt gallery here: http://massi-san.deviantart.com/ , lot of fantastic work that he's making!

Really, when it comes to environment renders, I feel like using Vue is basically cheating :D So awesome :red:
