v4 Self Collision Problem in DAZ

I've been doing some Glamour shots with my V4 Mode; and had this experience with one of Adams Poses (from most Digital)
From what I've read its a Self Collision between the Chest and Abdomen of the v4 model; but I cant do any mesh smoothing to
address the issue as DAZ wont accept Vic as the item in collision.

The chest and Abdomen don't seem to have separate scaling controls so that's out.

Not looking for a firm answer per se just some guidance as how to proceed. BB.

for some reason the anchor tag is not working right for me, heres the URL to a pic of what Im seeing.

    An item can't collide against itself, but that shouldn't stop you applying a smoothing modifier for the smoothing effect.

    Actually it can, but it usually seems to be a event that occures between 2 elements of an article of clothing;

    In this thread, the solution was, "New Simulation -> check “Cloth self-collision” (http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/36468/ )

    Again here,

    PREFERENCES TAB:
    Self Intersection: Self Intersection controls whether or not the cloth will be allowed to self intersect with itself or not. NOTE: We recommend that Self-Intersection be turned off during all your primary draping actions as best results are often found by turning on self-collision after a near final draped position has already been calculated. Results will vary, though, so feel free to experiment with this as you see fit. Collision Tolerance: Collision Tolerance is the tolerance, or distance from the surface used when collision is being detected. This is a useful tool when using multiple layers. For example, if you wanted to drape the Gaucho Jacket over the Ultimate T, you could increase the Collision Tolerance on the Gaucho jacket. Increasing the tolerance will make the cloth drape further from the figure’s surface.

    So I did not create the term out of 'Whole Cloth' pardon the pun.

    In the photo I linked it seems to me the Chest and Abdomen are in collision; but I can't select say the Chest, in collision with V4 of the Abdomen; I get an error; as it seems the app is set up to expect say V4's Bra in collision with her Chest, and not with another part of herself; but it certainly looks from the image that is just what is occuring; and the pose is hardly extreme and I would still be interested in guidance how to proceed. BB.

    Dynamic items can collide with themselves. A Figure (IE V4 V5 or other) Is not a Dynamic item and Thus can not collide with itself. They are two very different types of items, one Dynamic, using a Physic type plugin, the other, the figure, has no such physics type plugin to allow self collision. Only Mesh to other mesh type collisions are built into DAZ Studio at this time for none dynamic items. There is no plugin to create Mesh to same Mesh collisions for none dynamic items right now.

    EDIT To Add: the Image you linked to is using a Morph to add those folds. It has nothing to do with collision.

    ok that gives me some Idea how to proceed thank you, and Thanks much for the Clarification vs the Dynamic/ vs mesh issue.
