How to scale an object when animated with animate2?

in New Users
I have a figure animated using animate2 - the figure walks from stage rear to stage front.
I used the parameter scale slider to adjust the size. Now it looks like a jack-in-the-box as he walks forward - the scale has changed so it varies all along the path ge is walking.
Is there a way to lock an objects' scale/size without wrecking the depth perception [object gets smaller as it moves away]?
I hope I am describing this well enough.

I think I get what you mean. Let's say said character was 100.00% and you adjusted it to 150.00%. Make you sure you make that adjustment at the beginning and the end of the timeline. So frame 0 @ 150.00% and frame 30 also @ 150.00%.
I tried that, and I still had several frames inbetween that spiked up. I set the scale at 93.6 at the beginning and end. Single frames were above that, a few as high as 123%. I can't figure out where the spikes are coming from.
