best settings to import clothes from poser to daz3d

What are the best import settings and things I can do when importing a poser specific dynamic clothes into daz3d. In poser there were directions that conformed it to the figure so I made a likeness of the characters body to fit it but what other considerations should I pay attention to. Is there formats that simply work better importing? Thanks in advance.

Well, the item won't be dynamic in DS - you will need to drape it in Poser, spawn a morph from that, and then set the morph in DS.

so what would be the best settings to export to poser? I've attempted before but lost texture information and morphs weren't contained.

I'm sorry, which are you trying to do? You initially seemed to be asking about going from Poser to DS but now you are going the other way. What are you aiming to do?

Currently working on a game project and there is a piece of dynamic clothing that I couldn't find in the store (atleast for v4) it has a read-me with poser specific instructions. Initially I was thinking of just bringing the clothes back to daz after conforming it to a v4 body with the same body morphs (I don't remember what face I used which is making it a little difficult to fully recreate the model in poser besides the technical issues). I'm not sure I really need dynamic clothes that is why I thought exporting the clothes from poser back to daz is probably a better option.

When I tried to export the model from daz to poser the model was black and creates a black eye shader (similar thing happens in game engines but I found a way around it). I believe I used the obj format during this attempt so basically either way I'm good but I'm wondering since I'm not good on the graphics side I was wondering what is the best format and what settings to use either method (daz to poser, or poser to daz)

I know someone will bring this up so I'll just clarify that :
    A) I plan on getting the indie game license.
    B) The models are put into a game engine specific format to prevent stealing.
    C) They will be encrypted for further security of the assets.
    D) for those assets that don't list daz as publisher I've contacted the artists involved to arrange an agreement to use them when I get closer to a finished product (Currently working on a demo) for those that didn't want to participate in a game (since alot of people view these assets are for 3d movies) their assets have been removed.

Poser clothing that uses Poser Shaders in them will not load properly in DS, Just some FYI. the Shader systems are different.

Ty for the info not sure its an issue here though. Really I don't think the clothing is textured (if it is its a bland blue color) The instructions mostly had to do with poser's clothify system. It asked me to add frames to animation, run clothing simulations and the like. Truth be told I prefer daz's shaders over poser's if it wasn't for the fact that the directions were poser specific I wouldn't use it but directly importing the clothes don't work it may look different when uploaded too daz but figured its worth a shot.

I'm sort of with Richard here, I say use the Poser Dynamic item in Poser Cloth room to get a Good drape, and as you note that will need the proper figure and morphs used in poser for a good drape, then export the Poser drape as a morph target for the clothing in DS.
You then just use the Same figure, the same pose apply the clothing and apply the Draped Morph to it to get a good image to render in DAZ Studio.
