Nope The Girl started as Girl4 and in all this time we have not gotten a The Boy. That said there are several nice toon style figures in the Store. More than I care to try to list, both boy and other Girl types.
Don't feel bad, I do it all the time. I look at something I like, find out what it is, go to buy it or put it on my wishlist only to come to a big, gray purchased button. >.<</p>

Some of us are so new, we click the gray button anyway thinking it will bring us to the "Purchased items page", only to find it in the cart again, lol [at my self].
Isn't there a basic child included with Daz Studio 4.6? I don't even know if there is a gender for that, I keep getting distracted by the included dragon, when I'm not trying to get something working on this computer.
Also I remember there being like an 'Age' or 'young' or 'something like that' slider in the full-body morph settings, I don't know what morph package that came with, I don't even use it. Or is that only for the female figures?
I stand corrected, it was that 'basic genesis shape' thing, and the other was the "Eve young" slider I was thinking of. There actually is no Youth-slider-thing by default, or with any of the shaping morph packages I've purchased (for the Genesis 2 Female).
The default install of Studio just about gives you nothing to work with for male figure morphs that I can find. I've yet to purchase any of the male figures as of yet, I'm still working on camera and lighting basics in an empty box. lol.
The Guy and She Freak 4 where both created by pdxjims and never received much support, perhaps as they where not seen as 'official' DAZ Gen 4 figures. Furthermore Guy's included textures don't match the look of The Girls textures, fortunately you can always use Hiro 4 and Aiko 4 textures ( if they match) on them.
I've been tempted into buying the Girl 6, and I was just wondering if there are any male figures that have a similar style or shape to her?
Way back in the dawn of The Girl time (2004) in a thread called "Free Male Morph for GIRL (well sorta!) - Daz 3D" Goofyfoot posted his recipe for morphing The Girl's head into a male's (the thread is in the no-longer-online archive: http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=69421). A little later I modified it slightly and frankensteined the head onto Freak's body (first pict) in a tutorial post that used Crescent's Frankensteining info (my post -- "Freaking the Dude" is also no longer available).
When I upgraded Daz Studio to use Genesis, I puttered with mixing a little Genesis Girl4 with Freak 03 and got pict 2 after about 15 minutes. I saved the model but lost in in an upgrade, but it wasn't all that difficult. I'm not sure if that's the style you're after.
One other male counterpart was Tate's The Dude (the first one, still available at RDNA, the second one won't work directly with Daz Studio), which he designed to go with The Girl, but without actually looking like her brother. The third pict shows hiim sandwiched between the original Girl3 and Girl 4 (left and right, respectively).
Hopefully this might spark an idea or two for you.

The Girl predates Gen4. She started out as a standalone figure. http://www.daz3d.com/people/the-girl
She eventually gained a counter part in Guy 4 Michael 4. http://www.daz3d.com/guy-4-michael-4
Your best bet for a Gen6 counterpart for Girl6, would be to use GenX2 and transfer Guy 4, and maybe update his look a bit.
I so forgot about Guy, it just never was seen all that much. And Yep I do have The Girl and Girl4 both it seems. I do not remember buying both.

There's a Basic Child shape in the Genesis base. You may also be thinking of Zev0's Growing Up sets.
