Am I saving poses wrong somehow?

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Any of the poses that I save for my G8 figures lock up Studio when I try to apply them to a new figure.  

Is there some procedure I need to be following to make these things work?

    File>Save AS>Pose Preset then uncheck parts that you don't want affected by your pose, like general position of the character in the scene, the eyes pose, etc.

    Are you doing something other than that?
