Hi,

I started my 3D-experiences with the Earth & Moon Super Bundle. The GPS satellites fly around the earth but they are not sending :-/
- Is their any way to simulate waves send by the satelites?
- Are their any basic symetric forms that can be used
- Can I add transparenzy to such forms?

Thank You for help

By "Sending" do you mean using imagery to represent radio waves being sent from the satellite?

There isn't a way to do that natively with product. However, there are a few things you can do.

I would say the easiest would be to do it post render in Photoshop or Gimp. If postwork isn't your thing you could try loading a plane and then mapping image to the plane. You would need at least an opacity map (sometimes referred to as a transmap) to mask the portions of the plane that you don't want. You could then tweak the surfaces ambient and diffuse color to get a look that you are happy with.

Wow, sounds very difficult for a 3D-beginner as I am.

Is there a chance to use simple geometric forms, that can be combined just to simulate this electric magnetic waves?

You could try using soem torus primitives - Create>New Primitive, set the type to Torus and adjust the dimensions.

I suggest you try making a request in the freebies forum. I cant imagine its a difficult prop to create.

I tried searching for "Daz studio" +Lightning +prop (and poser as well) and found nothing, which rather surprised me really; there is a prop as part of this package, but Im not sure you want to by the whole package for it. http://www.runtimedna.com/Zeus-Fury.html
