Where both of those models fall short is a lack of a true undercarriage (and the trunks not opening on both, the hood not opening on the Mustang). I don't think I've ever seen them on sale. I grabbed them when Rendo had one of their wishlist sales. i don't know when another is in the works, but I suspect there will be a few more before the year is out.

The more I see other car models, the more I love that Charger for the windows moving, the seats being able to move forward and back, the engine, etc.

Yes. I honestly did not give the lack of options on cars much thought before I tried to model and make poses for them. But seats that are adjustable, windows, and doors, and hoods that open and close as well as engines and tops that go down, are really needed if you want to progress beyond a rudimentary pose with a vehicle. I really appreciate the pa's who make their cars flexible and more useful by adding these features.

Have you seen this one: http://inlitestudio.com/3d/product/everyday-car/, it's not a sports car, but it's free and very detailed. All the pieces are seperate, so it's a bit of a bear to convert to iray, but the engine is very detailed. This same vendor has some other cars, on their site or at Renderosity under the name TruForm. Their stuff is always top-notch and reasonably priced, in my experience.

Here's a super rough conversion of the car, with the hood up.

Heck, I just had a thought, since the engine is a seperate piece on this vehicle you could plop it into another car if you wanted.

I've been picking up the Truform cars lately because they've all been in the May 60-70-80% off sales, mostly because they were very very cheap and apparently, I have a thing for cheap virtual cars. (This despite the fact that I've done two renders with cars. Ever.) All of Truform's stuff (cars, houses, beds, soccer stadiums, whatever) is handled the same way: one main object/prop with tons of other object/props parented to that. That means all of the windows raise and lower (with the y-trans slider) and all of the seats move (z-trans). The only real issue I've run into is that, for some reason, the interiors consistently come into a scene with the seats glowing white -- not actually untextured, just something the workspace can't show, for some reason. Not a big deal, just an odd one.

None of the Truforms cars I've tinkered with have undercarriages, though.

Ok, I can't believe I forgot about these two. Both are free (but if you bought the Muscle Car like I did eleven years ago, you can use it for commercial purposes) for non-commercial renders. Despite being 11-12 years old, they hold up quite nicely. Some shader love is needed in D|S and with the Mucle Car to get the engine to look better, you need to reassign some of the geometry (which I haven't done in these renders, whoever I have tweaked some of the shaders for Iray). Wheels move, suspension moves, a roughly textured undercarriage and more all for nothing. And the Fiat comes with your choice of Police or Taxi options. There is even a spare tire in the trunk of both vehicles.

Bazze also has some lovely WW2 planes on his non-commercial site as well.

Okay, I made a driver and passenger pose for the ladybird. Yes, I managed to hopefully get Owen's hand on the gear shift and on the pedals. Unfortunately, no way to push the seats upright they can sit upright while driving that I can see... The car will have to be increased in size too. The guys aren't tiny.

I may have to start a Family pack as I'm not sure it fits the car crush  pack, but I couldn't resist because its so cute! And lets face it, about the only thing less happening in the DAZ store than Male/Male poses are Male couples with babies. So.... We will have to create some. =-)

And, yes, I know, the baby car seat is not technically correct, but, lets face it there are no seatbelts, and/anything else in these vehicles... So we can assume there are safety protections of some sort. =-)

I'm honestly quite surprised there are no decent strollers or car seats in the store. Or baby carriers.

Well, if you like them, then I'm sure I will too. Maybe a few free poses will encourage you to render some for us. =-)

Thanks! Here is pose 4 in Car Crush.  It could likely be used with other vehicles with adjustments. I used ladybird here.

The infant will be added to the new Daddies set, which will include Daddies and babies. I will probably upload the first one, tomorrow. I want to make a genesis baby alternate for those people who might only have that figure. I prefer Sixus baby and the Rosie character  from Rendo because I thinks he's adorable, but there will be two babies, one with a pose for each, so, people can pick which one they want to use. I'm not great at posing kids, so they will be kinda basic.

The car seat is from Poser World. I looked everywhere for a free one, but they all were pretty awful and mostly non-existant.

Ok, last bit of car suggestions. Unlike the ones I mentioned above by Bazze, these aren't free. But for PC members, the bases are $1.99. The 1936 AM Sedan was updated and even includes Iray shaders (why they don't update the promos, I'm not sure). For the other two, the Iray updates for the Ranger and Roland(worth it since they include different exteriors/interiors including dirty options, turning on and off lights, etc) are $2.99 and $3.99. The Ranger might be a nice option for an expanding family.

All have doors that open and close. Most have engines and the Ranger and Roland not only have hoods/trunks/doors/windows that open, but offer movement for many of the interior dials (speedometer, clock, etc.). The Ranger even has a movement dial for the gear shift.

Those look pretty darn nice. I have the ranger and the roland so I definitly have those on my must use list.  A movement dial for the gear shift is pretty impressive too... I'm going to try those out. Thanks!

I also need to see if I can hunt down a big rig. Then there are a few sci-fi vehicles which might be fun.

There are two big rigs but I haven't bought them yet either. Good news is they are both PC+.

Hmmm....I can only find one but I thought there was a purple rig too:

Here is a comparison between genesis baby and baby rosie. Genesis is the pink baby. (I should've done it the other way around given the name)  You can see that Rosie has  larger head. Genesis baby has broader shoulders. overall, Genesis 8 baby is so much easier to pose. Genesis baby has some weird stiffness to it. Its upper arms won't fit the carrier without me contorting them or widening the carrier. Its a little linebacker.  Its hands and fingers are too adult for a baby....wink

You can buy the carrier/carseat at Poser World https://poserworld.com/3d-child-car-seat-model  it is useful since the carseat can be turned into a little carrier.

Love the just married render and really excited about the daddy and baby poses.  I love the sixus one baby and Rosie they are really well done.  And the rest of the car poses are great as well.  A lot of times, I don't render certain things because there aren't any poses for them.  Since my time to render personal art is extremely limited, posing (which takes me forever) is a big factor in what I choose to render.  I almost always tweak poses, sometimes quite a bit but it saves me a lot of time to have something premade that is close to what I need.

The head size on the G8 infant is much more realistically sized, both bodies could stand a bit more baby fat, however the face sculpt for the Baby for Genesis is more realistic in the face however the cranium could stand a bit of enlargement..

I agree. Genesis baby head could be larger and the fingers plumper. It’s shoulders could be rounder as well.

I could use a baby  bottle if anyone has seen a free one.

It's the texture add on for the Yamaki Cargo.

Ah! Your DAZ-FU is strong. I knew I'd seen that. I don't appear to have either of those for some reason. May have to rectify that at some point.

I have the Yamaki rig, I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't realize I didn't have the purple & green texture add-on or that rig already. Also, no trailers that I know of so.

For the bottle leave it to 3DU anytime you need a child's accessory usually

    https://www.daz3d.com/3d-universe-s-toon-baby

A bit toony but a retexture with iRay DAZ Uber shaders or similar product should remedy that.

Here is the Big Bill with the Iray add-on. It's the same PA (petipet) as the Ranger and Roland, so all those great moving parts again (including the wipers). The rig, trailer and Iray addons for both are big downloads, though (1.5 gigs). The trailer has a nice sleeping compartment, too.

Okay, here is the first pose in the set of Daddies... Genesis baby. She/He will need to be 41 percent in size to fit the carrier from Poser World. This is as cute as I can make her. I suggest parenting the carrier to her. The baby goes flying if you parent her to it. I'll update with Rosie Shortly. I intend to use the carrier pretty heavily. I will update it with something made by a daz store PA if there ever is one. wink

ZIP has been updated. In latest DADDIES post.
