That is not how 3D objects work. You either load a second copy of the item and position it or you use the Create Menu in DS4.6.2.120 and make a Instance and then position it. Copy and Paste is only a Text function in text and or 2D art engines, 3D needs more than a Copy to do the same function as Space, depth, is involved.

The latest Public Beta of DAZ Studio does have a Duplicate Node(s) command in the Edit menu that will make an independent copy of the selected items, and DS4 has for a long time had the ability to create Instances (exact copies) and Geometry Shells (copies with independent material settings) via the Create menu.

I think this is kind of a jargon issue, the problem with a simple cut and paste function is, what are you asking it to copy and paste? Do you mean the geometry, materials, display settings, pose, transforms.etc etc. All of these are possible they just dont come under a generic copy all command. Familiarity with 2d apps and bryce do make us expect a simple copy and paste command but in Daz its just seperated into different functions depending on what your copying or pasting. For example copy surface settings or copy figure settings or using instancing for making a clone of an object.
