I only added the watercolor version for fun and giggles, but I think I actually prefer it over the render. Which is a pity, because it means the cool materials and the burning debris get lost.

    What do you think?

Lots of great renders Tobias. You have been busy.

I am not going to be very helpful with this last one. I like them both. I like the details in the original and I like the way the watercolour treatment makes your figure really stand out in the 2nd.

Put some more focus on the face, and added techy stuff. Because I can.

First piece for 2015! I was trying out a few new techniques, mostly with the hair. Still a lot to improve, but I finalized this one at this point.

    Carcosa

He mentioned the establishment of the Dynasty in Carcosa, the lakes which connected Hastur, Aldebaran and the mystery of the Hyades. He spoke of Cassilda and Camilla, and sounded the cloudy depths of Demhe, and the Lake of Hali. "The scolloped tatters of the King in Yellow must hide Yhtill forever," he muttered, but I do not believe Vance heard him. Then by degrees he led Vance along the ramifications of the Imperial family, to Uoht and Thale, from Naotalba and Phantom of Truth, to Aldones, and then tossing aside his manuscript and notes, he began the wonderful story of the Last King.

I had no internet connection for the past few weeks, and a bad connection right now. This really sucks. I rely on the net a lot.

Anyways, I got this one done:

Sweet talker! :) Thank you. There's lots of things I still need to learn, or want to improve. But I think that at any level of ability, in any hobby, there are always lots of people whose work you find impressing; I know I do.

I really like the light beams- it's done to the right degree of illumination- not overdone, perfect! The same for the orange of the suit, it catches the eye but isn't distracting. The scene is very nicely done and I particularly like the tree that is rimmed with light on our far right, to expand the entire set horizontally. We can see what lies ahead. Nicely done Tobias!

    Desert

I find naming images to be difficult. Sometimes the title just comes to me ( what I prefer ) and others I have to just pick something. I am never really satisfied with the title when that happens.

    Nice images Tobias.

    Thanks!

I have even used a random name generator, but that tends to end up in somewhat silly titles.

Hey, I've been away for quite some time! My computer has slowed down so much that I really can't do any renders, and I haven't replaced it yet. So I did more digital drawing. Recently, I've used simple renders as a base for overpainting. What fo you think?
