It's a server issue, I'm using 2 computers, one is new (november 2020).
There is no issue with DIM.
Yet another product is broken by an update (unreadable files) :

80611 Knit: St. Patrick's Day is missing in Daz Connect (only available in DIM)
It seems to me that after I added the free Knit St Patrick's Day shader in 3 parts (when I saw 3 parts I knew it was trouble) I now get installed products that have ??? thumbnails for many things I try to install via DIM or interactive from inside Daz. The error on that Knit shader below can't find the JSON file it needs from Daz. Ugh I need the thumbnails in Smart Content to be there as they should be.

Daz Connect updated the metadata for 2518 of 6008 installed products but these errors still occur

I ran into this with a lot of products after a fresh install, and am still compiling my list (nearly 300 now and I'm less than halfway through) of broken products. This has already cost me many, many hours and there is, frankly, no excuse for this. DAZ should, certainly by now, be proactively running scripts on their server to detect these errors and prioritize fixing them.
I am done buying products from DAZ until/unless they fix this mess.
The all zero GUID is usually on old (very old) product for me. You should still be able to find those in your Content Library and Smart Content, though. Here is an example of an old V4 era product installed with Daz Connect. It has a GUID that is all zero. I can see it in the Content Library virtual folder, the Content Library Products section, and Smart Content.
To be sure, the GUID=0 is a separate issue from the many, many products with corrupt texture files that DAZ should have already found and fixed on their side.

I thought the whole point of metadata was to support "Smart Content"; so how on Earth can they justify saying "metadata issues" won't be fixed?

I just wish there was a way to hide content for DAZ Connect via Smart Content. I have content that I rarely use and it'll look so much nicer to have old content (pre-genesis 1 era) hidden and ignored from being checked every time I login in DAZ Studio.
I'm more worried about Connect giving us corrupted and unusable textures for a significant number of products that we paid for, and that DAZ hasn't fixed it in over a year.
New feature requests should go in their own thread, rather than derailing this one.

Generation 4 figures and their morphs are products that wil not work with Connect. Just stop using Connect and most of your problems will be solved.
The overwhelming number of products that are broken on Connect are not Gen4, they are products that previously worked with Connect and were later broken by DAZ . I have dozens of projects that I can no longer successfully open and work on, as well as products (over 300 now) that I can no longer use.
That is what this thread is about; don't side-track onto the "Missing GUID for Gen4 Products issue", which should probably be in its own thread.
We have yet to hear a remediation plan for this serious, systemic problem which has been dragging on for over a year, now.
The remedy is not to use Connect. It doesn't work with plug-ins, true shaders and some scripts. You would to need to either use DIM or Central to install those so just use DIM (preferably) or Central anyways.
Not "true" sahders, just older shaders.
