Fixing Poke Thru using ZBrush
Hi,
I've got a little bit of poke thru on the Super Hero Suit for Genesis 2 & V6. It's currently fitted to V6 and I've applied a smoothing modifier to the suit. Adjusting the smoothing and collision iterations hasn't eliminated all the poke thru, so I thought I would try fixing the remaining poke thru using ZBrush (via GoZ).
Now, when I leave the suit at 'High Resolution' (in the parameters), and then enter ZBrush and fix some of the poke, when I return - Daz Studio says the topology of the suit has changed and cannot be updated. It only allows me to create a new object - rather than create a morph for the suit. On the other hand, if I lower the suit to 'Base Resolution', the poke thru that I want to fix is not there. BUT, at 'Base Resolution' I can enter ZBrush, adjust the suit and then return to Daz Studio which WILL accept the topology and allow me to create a morph.
It's really not a big deal, but I was just wondering if there's any way I can leave the suit at 'High Resolution' AND import a morph from ZBrush?

Strictly speaking, you can leave setting at high resolution but set SubDivision Level to 0 before exporting and morphs will work. But it wont really be high resolution.
Perhaps fixing poke through with d-formers in DS would be simpler. Basic d-former tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SEBV2GHJHA
I believe that suit uses displacement maps to add dimension to the folds, when rendered the displacement maps takes care of the poke-thru.
Thanks for the advice everyone.
