New Figure Character for Genesis 2

Can someone show me the correct way of creating New Figure Character for Genesis 2

I loaded a morph on genesis 2 and dialed it to 100%
Adjusted the rigg to the new figure
Saved as Fig/prop assets

When I load the newly created figure the morph dial is still showing

Is there any other step I am missing?

To start with, For Daz Studio. I am assuming your referring to that program. Are you?

The sliders for 'morphing' a character should be there, regardless weather it is a genesis 2 loaded or an ad-on character.
That's good, just encase you need to tweak some of the settings.

As for loading a base character (Genesis or Genesis2), or ad-on character (Victoria, Dave, etc) it is not much different from loading the 'Bare foot dancer'. It's just finding where the load character icon is located.

In Daz Studio 4.6. I usually use the 'Save As -> Character Preset', unless I want to include the cloths and hair, then I use the 'Save As -> Scene Subset' (And check the boxes next to the stuff I want to save. Figure, Hair, ext.).

You don't want to create a new figure, you just want to save your morph as a morph asset - File>Save as>Support Asset>Morph Asset. If the rigging adjustment is needed you will want to do an ERC Freeze to link the changes in the rigging to the morph before saving it - there are several threads covering that.

    Thank you for your reply

I have made a custom shape of Genesis 2 with the hands down 45 degrees as clothes drape better on that pose

After I adjusted the rigg to fit the morph, I tried ERC freeze and I can still see the morph dial on the new saved figure asset.

All I need is to transfer the obj clothes on the new figure asset and use that figure to pose and style as I would do on Genesis 2

Is there e better way to do this?

I'm not understanding - by drape do you mean dynamics? If so you don't need to morph the figure or create a new figure, you can just pose and drape. If it's a question of modelling you could use the Transfer Utility and set the Source Shape to the moprhed version of the figure, then set Reverse Source Shape from Target on to modify the mesh to fit the zero shape.

Unfortunately if you do want a new figure with arms down for some reason you are going to have to rig it - saving it as a figure asset won't "bake" the morph and rigging changes to the new zero state, only rigging the modified shape as a figure will do that (you could probably still use the transfer utility to get the torso and legs right, then just rework the arms for their new positions).

All 'characters' for Genesis 2 show the morph dials, whether that's Stephanie, Victoria or Olympia. It's just good practice to keep it since you can make adjustments to the final shape that way and having more options is never a bad thing. Furthermore, since morphs are alterations of existing Genesis shapes, these dials are inherited by the clothes worn by the figure, which is what allows them to dynamically change shape to match.

As for actually modeling, as mentioned by Richard you can reverse out source deformations from the target if you simply want to model your clothes on a morphed Genesis figure.

Somehow genesis files were corrupted and ERC freeze worked fine after i did an update.

    Thank you for the tips

I tried both ways and managed to get good results.
