Shortcut to Hide Items?

Hi,

I've been trying to assign a keyboard shortcut which will hide scene items (actors, props, anything really). First, I went into Window->Workspace->Customize, and then scrolled down to the "Parameters" category where there appears to be 2 commands - "Hide Selected" and "UnHide Selected".

I assigned a shortcut to "Hide Selected" but it didn't do anything when I tried it out. In fact, I've tried several different shortcuts for this command, and none of them seem to work. Have I encountered a bug? Or am I using the wrong command or shortcut?

Scene tab - click the little eye next to the thing you want to hide, at least that's how I do it.

The commands are for hiding and showing selected properties - that's why they are in the options for the Parameters pane, if they were for nodes they'd probably be in the Scene pane's commands. You can use the eye icon for individual items, or you can multi-select and use the Visible button in the Parameters pane.
