Is there a way to make DS more legible? I can barely make out the text to find things in some of it
Maybe a tutorial? Think I asked it at Renderosity a while back but I don't know how fine my posts over there.

If you mean font size you can try one of the other styles - Window>Style>Select Style. Other than that, DS does respect the system-level font scaling setting on Windows but application-specific size adjustment isn't going to be possible until the switch to Qt 5 is complete - which doesn't mean that it will happen the instant the whole thing is moved to the newer framework.
