troubles with Lipsinc and Mimic Pro

i have owned Daz stuff forever.... but i never used it enough to really get a grip on it.
so please , a little advice for a long time noob
i bought Mimic Pro eons ago ... but only gave it a short play.
well , i need it now and it won't even open ... it used to , but that was back in DS3 i think .. or maybe even DS2.
i am on Mavericks 10.9.2 .... and i'm wondering if the software has never been updated ,
or what was the latest version of Daz Studio that it could work in.

now the current DS4.6 won't analyze my .wav file.... it plays it ...but won't analyze it.
it is 4:32 in duration... does the this built in Lipsinc have a time restriction or something ?

where can i go for help in matter .. it's not fair to own all this stuff and can't use it....
i even paid big money for DS4 pro and all the add-ons before it was free.. ( ouch ).
at any rate , i feel i should at least be able to use the stuff.... LOL !!

anyhow anybody got a clue , i really need this Mimic and Lipsinc to work.

    I own Mimic Pro also and DAZ Studio 4.6.2.120 that I just upgraded to the DAZ Studio 4.6.3.29 Beta for personal use. You will get the Updated version of Mimic and all plugins that you own that have been Updated in your Products Library or DIM if you use it when you get a Updated version of DAZ Studio. They all work properly on my Win7 PC but I am not sure which products are fully updated or can run on the Mac OS and the version you are using. I do know you do need the Updated Plugin's for the Updated DAZ Studio. The Plugin's are updated for every new version of DAZ Studio as far as I know. You can but try. I hope this solves your issues.

    hey Jaderail , thanx for the input .
    i finally heard back from support and unfortunately they have not updated the mac version in quite a while..
    and it sounded like they weren't offering one any time soon ... looks like us Mac users are S.O.L. on the Mimic scene.

    but i can run windows in my Mac , so i jumped over there and downloaded and installed the windows versions of all my stuff.
    i have genesis base male loaded , and Lipsinc works but it really is crappy compared to Miimic Pro.
    so i tried to launch Mimic Pro but it says it can't locate the cr2 file for the loaded figure .
    as i said i really don't know my way around Daz very well .... is there such a thing as a cr2 file for Genesis ? aren't cr2 poser files ?

    anyhow ..i'm on Windows 8 on my Mac.....you say you are running win7 , can you use Mimic Pro with Genesis in Win7 ?

    sorry to bug you , Jaderail , but help is really scarce on this subject.

    I actually have not tried Mimic Pro on Genesis to be honest. I prefer the Generation 4 figures for my Animation work as most of the animation files I bought were designed for them. I only resently started using the Genesis 1 figure in some work as I learned the proper way to fix the Gen4 files to work on its rig. I did test the 32Bit built in Lip Sync with genesis and that worked. I never thought to test Pro with Genesis. It is till very new to me. I just noticed it had a Update for each update of DS that I installed.

    I will test it with Genesis 1 after I get some free time later in my evening. TY for the heads up, I could be in the same boat and did not know it.

    it will not analyze an mp3 file you need a wav file

    yeah , i know , i'm using .wav , i had bounced out both kinds just in case . ..
    i just wrote the wrong one down in my opening remarks... confused myself i guess
    thanks for pointing that out though ..
    i'll go back and edit it right now...
    i can hardly expect people to help if i'm giving them the wrong info...DOH !!
