I love this.

There is a place for a well done summarization and restructuring of information for people who are coming into some body of knowledge and need to consume basic information. There is a lot of creativity in creating this restructured summarization if done well. But This message is important in that the same methods don't work when out trying to extend or create new content, ideas, visions for exactly the reasons pointed out. The audience part is spot on.

    For an artist I really like the notion of creating the audience. For education the relation with the individual student is extremely important---connect with him. But facts do matter.
