Shadow catcher

I built a shadow catching plane with a mix (alpha) shader brick, however the plane doesn't function well. If I turn off other lights in the scene other than the distant light, the shadow will not darken and the transparent channel also turns white. I've re built it several times and feel I've done the steps correctly... advice?

Thanks!

Could you post a screen shot of what you have?

Yes, here's an example. In the render on the right, I only have a distant light on and in the one where you see the white plane, there is a beam light on. It doesn't matter what kind of other light I turn on, it nets the same results. I've turned off the specular and glossiness of the plane surface and zeroed out their values as well.

Additionally, I am trying to duplicate objects (lights specifically) and can't figure out how to do this in DAZ. Any info is greatly appreciated!

I meant the Shader Mixer set up you are using.

To copy a light (or camera) select it, then create a new light or camera (from the Create menu), click the More Options button, and then check the copy selected option.
