Is there a way to save a pose which zero's the hips out?

I can save poses that zero other body parts, like head, hands, feet, but the hip stucture seems to be the root of the figure, and I can't seem to save just the hip like I can the other body parts. I can however, click on the hip, and zero that selected part, so I am wondering if that can be saved.

The reason for this is it is useful to remove some of the dramatic hip sway on female figures, and am wondering if this is possible to make a pose that just affectst he hip bones, and not the rest of the figure?

  • You should be able to do a Pose preset. File>Save As>Pose preset.

When saving it, uncheck the base figure, then expand the options and check the Hip, and uncheck any other sub nodes, such as pelvis and abdomen lower. See attached image.

As an alternative, use the Zero selected items pose option under the Edit menu. With the hip selected in the Scene tab, it'll clear only that part.

    Edit>figure>Zero>Zero Selected Item Pose
