victoria 4.2 installation help HELP

hi
i buy victoria 4.2 and i dont know how to install it
i download it from the 3d daz studio and i clck on the ps_pe069_Victoria4DS i start install.
and in installation it request
set up will install victoria 42. base ds file in the following directory C:/user/sebast....
?????? why it does not settle in good directory
why i have to chose the directory
i dont understand installation and it dont work
when i go to daz studio program i just see genesis and not victoria please help a newbee

o yes i follow the tuto shown on 3d daz studio but it not work

    You would install to \DAZ 3d\Studio\My Library if using DAZ Studio 4, and if you accepted the default path for content. Note, however, that the DS installer is only extras for use in DAZ Studio - it's the bigger file, with DPC in the name, that is the main installer.

    i just dowload daz studio last tree days and i m really new

    you install the file that says V4.2_dpc.exe before you install the one you are trying to install. That one will only install properly after the ,dpc.exe has been installed.

    after buying i only have these tree one
    ps_pe069_Victoria 4
    ps_pe069_Victoria 4ds
    and a zip file ps_pe069_Victoria 4powerloader
    the tree other one is for mac

    OK, sorry, you have the new format files. So install them in the oreder you have typed them in your post.


    ps_pe069_Victoria 4 is installed first.

    then

    ps_pe069_Victoria 4ds is installed 2nd

    ok but but in which folder should be installed daz studio or poser(all file)
    and after that it requires a path???? i already put it in my library but nothing work

    All DS4 content should be installed into C:\Users\"UserName"\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library
    "UserName" = your name. Install all three files into that directory.

    i lose all my download it was expired wath that???? i buy that product this mornig i try to download it after a restauration
    i now i got to buy another time?

    No. Go to your itemised order history, find the file and click reset

    You do not need to redownload. Just install the files you have. They should work.

    Tip: V4 will not show in the Smart Content Tab. Look in the Content Library Tab under DAZ Formats and in Poser Formats.

    Daz Studio uses both type of files. As long as you install into the My Library folder it will not matter what you chose Daz Or Poser. You just need to be sure they all get installed into My Library.

    ok i do all of you are say in order you are say in the feww last post
    number 7
    and number ten
    and now if i check in the program i just see genesis and i dont see victoria
    i see it in the my library but i dont know how to use it
    I begin to believe that I ask of you a lot
    do you have a tuto somewere, i search on the net ,but i dont see anything about this problem or manip like that

    Under the Menu Window open TABS under it select Content Library. When it opens At the top is Daz Studio Formats and Poser Formats. In Poser Formats goto My Library then Figures then Daz People. You should find V4. this is the one you load.
    Under Daz Studio Formats goto My Library then People then Materials you should find the TEXTURES to go with V4.

    did you follow Jaderails instructions for finding it in Poser formats / Daz people

    Yes I did but when I go on my content gallery with Poser format I can't find V4 and when I go in the daz format gallery I can find the folder V4 but it's empty morever I can find some item but they don't work or it's appear a error message.
    So I don't no what I have to do.

    Follow this:

    When asked which program just pick DAZ.

    If this does not work I need to know if you did a Standard DAZ Studio install of the Main Program. Did you change any options when you installed Daz Studio 4Pro the very first time? If not Tell me what your computer type is and your operating System is.
    Mine is this: Ibm based PC with Win7 64bit.

    Thank you very much now it's working I got V4. Just for information I have Daz Studio 4 Pro and I 'm using W7 but my computer is not a bite old so It's a bite hard to use Daz. Thx a lot Jaderail.

    I just wanted to say thanks for all the helpful posts. I just got Victoria 4.2 working using this advice.
